In the day
There’s sightseeing from bygone days at Pickfords House, Heritage Centre, Industrial Museum and Blue Badge Guided walk. For an insight into Derby’s art there’s Royal Crown Derby, Derby Cathedral and Derby City’s Museum & Art gallery, where there’s a collection of work from Joseph Wright.
Derby has four popular large markets with many small ones dotted around the centre with the latest High Street fashion shops. For the young at heart there’s Rollerworld, Supa Karts, Donnington Park, Derby Superbowl and the Storm Centre.

During the evening
There are restaurants galore throughout Derby Centre. Ranging from Caribbean, Asian, Mexican, French, Italian and English. There’s also the famous take-away and fast food outlets.
From stage to screen, Derby offers a variety of cultural performances. Derby Playhouse is one of Britain’s finest theatres, there’s 2 multiplex cinemas, and the Metro cinema which offers a culturally driven schedule of films. In addition to these there’s also the Assembly rooms where the CAMBRA beer Festival is held and the Guildhall Theatre where small scale touring productions are held.
